WILDERNESS WANDERING<\/b><\/p>\n
let the toe tapping begin
\nperhaps deep breathing more in keeping
\nwith triathlon pacing
\ntoo soon to be counting days
\nthis journey
\nacross barren landscapes
\nfeatureless horizons
\nlong past 40 days
\nplease, don\u2019t let that 40 become years<\/p>\n
the way back is sealed
\na promise beckons
\nthe land flowing with milk and honey
\na place and a people to call home
\nmy soul\u2019s soil fertile and well watered
\ncradling seed, bearing fruit
\nready to look beyond my own navel
\nto the wholeness of others<\/p>\n
in the meantime
\nwe’ve got bushes
\nand birds
\nrocks, lots of rocks
\nlistening for the One who sees what I cannot
\nprovider of enough for one day at a time
\ntime to pluck manna
\nkeep an eye open for water
